SGIX wanted to have a Digital Wall to show internet traffic usage in Singapore. The data is captured by IDA Singapore and then fed straight to us. The data is originallay a boring 1 dimensional graph. However they want to make it exciting and capture the “heartbeat” of digital savvy nation.
They wanted it to work without requiring users to download any plugin. So we decided to experiement with Rafael JS and have the graph rendered on HTML5 Canvas instead.
Using Rafael JS and HTML5 Canvas, the graph is generated and animated dynamically, creating a very unique organic feel.
